Shakira Expands Mexico Tour Due to High Demand

In response to unprecedented fan demand, international superstar Shakira has officially announced four additional concert dates across Mexico as part of her wildly successful “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” Initially, seven shows were scheduled at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, nearly all of which sold out, setting attendance records at the venue. The newly added performances are planned between August 29 and September 12, 2025, covering major cities including Mexico City, Querétaro, Guadalajara, and Puebla. Pre-sale tickets for select cardholders will begin on March 28, followed by general ticket sales on March 29.

This expansion highlights the Colombian singer’s enduring appeal and record-breaking popularity across Latin America, with previous concerts consistently selling out in mere minutes.

Adding further drama and emotion to her tour, Shakira made headlines at her March 27 concert by bringing Lili Melgar, her children’s former nanny, on stage. During this memorable moment, she delivered a pointed message to her ex-husband, Gerard Piqué, and his father, Joan Piqué, referencing the fact that Melgar had not received severance pay following her dismissal. Melgar had notably helped Shakira uncover Piqué’s infidelity, and the symbolic gesture deeply resonated with the audience, generating widespread support and applause.

The powerful message underscored Shakira’s ongoing public stance on empowerment, solidarity, and justice. Her tour, embracing the empowering slogan “Las mujeres no lloran, pero sí facturan” (“Women don’t cry, but they do make money”), continues to receive widespread acclaim, even drawing attention from fellow celebrities. Actress Eva Longoria attended Shakira’s recent concert in Mexico City and openly expressed her admiration and excitement on social media. Shakira warmly reciprocated, praising Longoria’s latest project and pledging her support by planning to view the actress’s newest film release.

The widespread success and influence of Shakira’s tour continue to fuel speculation and anticipation around future tour dates, including potential performances in additional countries such as Spain. These recent developments clearly illustrate Shakira’s significant impact on global pop culture and her remarkable ability to connect deeply with audiences around the world.
